Each year, the MACRAO Professional Development Committee requests nominations of worthy members for MACRAO’s Special Service Awards, which are presented at the MACRAO Annual Conference in October.

Candidates for these awards have demonstrated outstanding initiative and energy in the field of admissions, registration and/or enrollment management.  The two awards are:

• The Professional Service Award, which recognizes a member who has served for five years or more, and
• The Rising Star Award, which recognizes a member who has served less than five years

Calls for nominations occur in the early fall and are submitted by email to the Chair of the Professional Development Committee.  Members may nominate more than one member for either award.  Nominations include the following information:

• Name of the member you wish to nominate
• Nominee’s position
• Name of the institution they represent
• A brief description of why you feel this person deserves recognition

Nominations are reviewed by the Professional Development Committee and their recommendation is presented to the Executive Committee via email forum.
