Academic Compliance Specialist at Park University

This position ensures Park University maintains compliance with federal, state, and other regulations. In particular, this position helps ensure adherence to federal regulations governing Title IV funds and enrollment/degree reporting, under direction of the Assistant Director of Academic Compliance and the Registrar. The position enforces policies enacted by federal, state, institutional, and other regulatory bodies (such as HLC and NAIA), with particular emphasis on those related to enrollment reporting/scheduling including course drops, withdrawals, and retroactive withdrawals.

Position Accountabilities:
• Research, analyze and convert correct effective date for student drops/withdrawals as determined by verifiable documentation in student records. Access and verify students’ participation to assist with effective date evaluation. Disseminate daily enrollment adjustment withdrawal reports to stakeholders to provide correct effective dates for drops/withdrawals, as pertain to financial aid, veterans benefits, and tuition refunds.
• Collaborate with Assistant Director of Academic Compliance to clean up data and submit National Student Clearinghouse enrollment reports, and degree files. Review enrollment reports for accuracy based on analysis of current student enrollment data. Research all errors and correct the data. Review and assist with National Student Clearinghouse error and National Student Loan Data System resolution files.
• Provide general customer service to students and faculty/staff, including responding to phone calls and email inquiries. Assist with general office priorities, including transcripts fulfillment, enrollment/degree verification, graduation, degree checks, and course scheduling. Assist with office projects on an as needed basis.
• Review eligibility criteria for student athletes in accordance with rules and regulations of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). Includes reviewing high school and college transcripts of athletes; recording, collecting, and entering NAIA eligibility data; assisting coaches and athletics staff; and submitting transcripts to NAIA Eligibility Center.
• Collaborate with Director of Student Success, Online Operations, Financial Aid, and Accounting to evaluate requests for retroactive withdrawals and determine effective dates (based on medical, deployment, or other documentation), in accordance with the Code of Federal Regulations and Park University policy.
• Maintain accurate listing in current catalog of programs offered across all campus centers and locations.
Position Requirements:
• Bachelors degree preferred. Associates required.
• Previous higher education experience preferred.
• Proficiency in computer applications and Microsoft Office Suite required.
• Experience with Jenzabar preferred.
• Detail oriented.
• Analytical skills.
• Knowledge of Family Educational & Rights & Privacy Act regulations.
