University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy is currently seeking a registrar to serve as the chief student records officer and provide leadership to university initiatives expanding academic offerings and supporting strategic enrollment management. The University has a long-standing record of excellence as a pharmacy college and recently grew into a University, expanding its undergraduate and graduate offerings, while supporting significant professional pharmacy population. The registrar manages a team aligned with financial aid, and admissions in support of student enrollment, retention and success. Hybrid position is eligible for significant remote work.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides leadership, management, and support for the Office of the Registrar including leadership and development of staff
Plan, organize, supervise and administer the records, registration, and graduation functions, including transcript evaluations, mid-term and final grade reports, supervise enrollment certification and verification, FERPA compliance, athletics eligibility and other data.
Provide leadership and develop appropriate recommendations for the implementation of related technology applications in support of student records
Responsible for all student enrollment reporting internally and externally, which includes coordinating with key stakeholders on enrollment projections and providing relevant data for institutional reporting needs, such as financial aid audits, IPEDS, U.S. News & World Report, ACPE, National Student Clearinghouse system and subsequent NSLDS reporting, etc.
Effectively administers the student database, assessing the system, works cooperatively with the staff of Information Technology, Institutional Research, and other offices on campus to ensure that the integrity of the systems and data are maintained and that the systems are utilized productively in support of records and registration functions
Manage the research, analysis, and resolution of student disputes as they relate to records and registration
May serve as the Designated School Official (DSO) and in the absence of the Primary Designated School Official (PDSO), maintain the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) and all related certification requirements.
Maintains the Academic Catalog and registration/records policy questions
Remains competent and current through self-directed professional reading, developing professional contacts with colleagues, attending professional development courses, and attending training and/or courses as required by the Vice President for Marketing, Athletics and Enrollment Services
Contributes to the overall success of the Registrars Office and Enrollment Services by advising and assisting the Vice President for Marketing, Athletics and Enrollment Services in all aspects relating to student records, registration, and retention including services as the subject matter expert on registration-related matters

To succeed in this role, you will need:
Masters degree in business, student services, educational administration or related area. Bachelors with significant relevant experience may be considered equivalent.
Five to seven years of experience in a college or university registrars office, at least three years at the program manager, assistant director or director level is preferred. A record of successful outcomes in the development and achievement of enrollment goals is preferred.
Proven record of successful supervisory experience in a people-oriented environment preferred
The ability to understand complex student information systems and to use those systems effectively in a management and strategic capacity are required. Experience with Jenzabar is preferred, but not required.
Strategic and tactical thinking, data-driven decision making, and short and long-term planning skills are required.
Budget management skills and the ability to analyze and interpret statistics and data are required.
The ability to perform work with various computer applications is required.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
Ability to work under deadline pressure but maintain attention to detail
Excellent customer service skills, collegiality and the ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of people on a variety of channels, and to work both independently and as part of a team
Must be very articulate, have excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills, and able to explain abstract concepts effectively
A positive attitude and ability to plan and adapt to change
Sensitivity to issues related to recruitment and retention of a diverse student body are required.
