Title: Business Analyst, #127403

Responsibilities:
This position provides business analysis functions for the Office of Assessment & Technology (OAT) and its clients to comprehensively understand and then to improve existing business processes and systems. The Business Analyst is responsible for researching, designing, implementing, and assessing the tools and processes used by OAT to gather information and requirements, generate ideas and solutions, track work and milestones, and support entire projects life cycles. The incumbent also provides project management functions for OAT, as well as the larger area of Enrollment Management. This position’s responsibilities additionally include the development and provision of functional training and support to the OAT staff and other stakeholders on various information systems managed by OAT. This position is essential to maintaining OAT’s technical platforms and reconciling data among its systems.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and 3 years’ experience conducting analytical studies, reporting, user training, and developing documentation of the functional processes. Demonstrated experience with data analyses and project management and strong analytical skills and experience in analyzing complex problems and producing clear and actionable solutions are required.
A general knowledge of computer software, and a high level of proficiency in using word-processing, database, spreadsheet, and data reporting programs. Knowledge of the structure and content of higher education information systems, including an in-depth knowledge of student systems and higher education requirements are preferred. The incumbent will have the relevant expertise to understand how data and processes operate inside of systems, and be able to support the EM operations with reporting needs and other OAT activities related to solutions exploration, implementation, and management. Knowledge of requirements gathering and documentation techniques (contextual inquiries, business use cases, scenarios, user stories, etc.). Ability to successfully interact with academic administrators, staff and students on a wide range of issues. Ability to collect stakeholder feedback and understand its true meaning and how to apply it across various development activities.
Ability to concisely and accurately document team actions such as decisions, assumptions, issues, processes, and challenges. Ability to design and carry out complex analytical studies and to effectively communicate and present this information to a wide variety of audiences verbally, in writing, and in report form.
Strong organizational and negotiation skills, and competency in problem-solving. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Rigorous attention to detail and accuracy, with an ability to weigh relative values and importance of specific activities in the larger scheme of project action items.
Preferences: Experience working in higher education is preferred.

Compensation: $64,400 to $80,000

In addition, the University offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health benefits, retirement plan, tuition remission for employees and dependents, 22 days annual leave, 3 days personal leave, 15 days sick leave, and holiday leave.
