Reporting to the dean of the law school, the associate dean of admissions and financial aid will:

• Develop and implement a successful strategy for recruiting, admitting, and retaining students with the credentials to succeed at a top-tier law school.

• Serve on the law school’s leadership team as the chief enrollment officer and represent the law school on the Cornell University admissions group.

• Contribute to developing strategies that maintain the law school’s commitments to diversity and equity while complying with the Supreme Court’s recent ruling.

Candidates must have a master’s degree and at least seven years of experience relevant to law school enrollment management or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates must have sufficient experience in law school education and knowledge of the legal profession to fulfill the position’s responsibilities to counsel, recruit, evaluate, and select candidates. Knowledge of university policies, state and federal laws, trends, and an in-depth understanding and use of admissions and student information systems is expected. Candidates must have proven experience connecting diversity, inclusion, and well-being practices to business goals. Preferred qualifications include a JD or equivalent law degree, experience developing a comprehensive recruitment plan, and knowledge of PeopleSoft, ACES/Unite, and CRM platforms such as Salesforce or Slate.

The public salary range is $167,324-$204,398. Exceptional candidates may qualify for additional compensation, including a signing bonus and relocation assistance.
